Cuticura hand gels are formulated with the exact level of alcohol (ethanol) required to provide the protection against harmful bacteria whilst helping to care for the skin. The alcohol content in Cuticura is measured by weight (w/w) at 57.6%, as printed on our packs. This converts to 66% by volume (v/v) and is therefore above the minimum recommendation level of The Centers for Disease Control and World Health Organisation.
The ethanol concentration in hand gel is usually expressed as a percentage, which can be measured in two ways – by weight (w/w) or by volume (v/v). The Centers for Disease Control and World Health Organisation alcohol content recommendation of 60% is based on the volume measurement (v/v).
How to use
Squeeze a small amount onto dry hands. Spread from the fingertips over palms and backs of hands. Allow to dry without wiping or rinsing.
Hazards and Cautions
Flammable liquid and vapour. Keep away from heat. No smoking. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact, rinse eyes thoroughly with tepid water. Do not use on broken or irritated skin. Keep out of the reach of children. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately and show this container.
